DR. PAUL IS RETIRING
Dear Integrative Pediatrics Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the news of my retirement. Many of us have been together since Westside Pediatrics, dating back as far as 1993. We embarked on this journey called Integrative Pediatrics in 2008, with our guiding principle being “Safe passage in a changing world.” The goal was to put kids first and allow parents to make choices that were best for their children by providing informed consent. Many of you know I have been in a long battle with the Oregon Medical Board for years. Due to the no-win situation built into these proceedings, settling with the board has become the best decision. Separately, I will be continuing my lawsuit against them for wrongdoing.
I have a deep sadness that my retirement was not on my own terms. I will always think of every Integrative Pediatric family as my own family. I truly hope to stay connected to all the families I have grown to love. I give thanks to everyone who has been a part of this incredible journey. Socrates said, “The Secret of Change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new!” With that in mind, I would like to share with you some wonderful news of what is to come.
We have linked arms to do what is best for our children, and we have created an incredible team that has been Integrative Pediatrics. Moving forward, I find comfort in knowing the entire team at Integrative Pediatrics will continue the vision and values you have all entrusted us to carry. Under the leadership of Mallory Johnson and Shaudine Woody, the team has formed a new clinic called NW Pediatrics Integrative Medicine. Effective December 5th, I will no longer be a licensed physician in Oregon, and because I will no longer be licensed, I can no longer continue to own and operate Integrative Pediatrics. Please have confidence in knowing the heart of Integrative Pediatrics lives on as NW Pediatrics Integrative Medicine at the same location: 11790 SW Barnes Rd Suite 140, Portland, OR 97225.
Please support this amazing team by continuing your care with this clinic. I fully support this new venture and this ongoing commitment of care to our patients who have been a part of Integrative and the many new families to come. Most of the providers have worked together and alongside me for 14 years or more, and there is no team I trust more to care for the Integrative Pediatric family.

Once Integrative Pediatrics is closed, your medical records will be transferred to the Medical Records Custodian, Desert River Solutions unless you previously arranged to transfer care and all medical records to NW Pediatrics Integrative Medicine or another clinic. For more information on how to contact Desert River Solutions, please read my final letter here. Please understand that NW Pediatrics cannot answer any questions or provide any records assistance for patients who are not current and established under their care.

As I move forward, I will continue my lifelong passion for putting kids first with a new program called Kids First 4 Ever (https://www.kidsfirst4ever.com). In this program, I partner with DeeDee Hoover, who is a wellness coach and bodyworker/massage therapist. I will continue to find ways to usher in a new world of medical freedom and love.
DeeDee and I will offer wellness coaching and invite you to join our “Team of Change.” I will not diagnose or treat, but I will be a resource to educate and encourage.
