Dr. Paul has a new book!
"The Vaccine-Friendly Plan: Dr. Paul's Safe and Effective Approach to Immunity and Health- from Pregnancy Through Your Child's Teen Years" gives Dr. Paul's take on the controversy of childhood immunizations and the best way to approach getting those vaccines to help ensure your child stays healthy. The Vaccine-Friendly Plan was written primarily to inform those who are thinking they want to follow the CDC schedule, that there may be a safer way to vaccinate. If you can already make an informed decision about vaccination and are comfortable with the risks of not vaccinating - and if I were your doctor - there would be a good chance I would support your informed decision. Obviously I cannot make any vaccine recommendations to non-patients nor can I give any specific advise. Everything you read on my web sites and in my books is only informational.
On March 1st, 2014, Oregon instituted a change in current vaccine laws. The goal was to eliminate the religious exemption clause, and replace it with a philosophical exemption. In order to do this, a video was created that will educate parents on the dangers of not getting vaccinated. For a parent to claim a philosophical exemption in Oregon, they will be required to watch the state video and then print out a form that is available at the end of the presentation. They can then give this form to their child's school or daycare provider.
You can access the Oregon state videos and resources at the following link:

The current AAP/CDC immunization schedule is the recommended schedule. This is typically updated each year. As we discuss your child’s specific immunization needs you can ask the question “Well Dr. Paul, what would you do if this were your child?” And you can be sure to get an honest answer that places an emphasis on safety by getting those vaccines covering the most dangerous diseases that are prevalent, while minimizing the risk from toxins contained within the vaccines or other concerns you may have.

Should I give my newborn the Hepatitis B vaccine?
If I don't do all the vaccines in the AAP recommended schedule won't my child be excluded from day care or school?
